The box say's 25 miles but realistically about three miles up in the country still not to bad for tree stand huntin

Yep. Use the Marine channels on land and get fined. The GMRS channels are ok.

with all due respect everyone I have the radio's for sale for vacation money it is up to the person buying these to use them as they see fit i'm not disputing the rules and regulations on these items but every dog hunter and most still hunter's use these radios if you see a truck with a dog box on it look at the antenna I can just about promise you it's VHF citizen band radio's have been pushed aside for this option thank you all for scaring off my vacation income
