I just got an EWK barrel shroud with an integrated rail for my Dan Wesson 15-2 .357 mag pistol pack. I could not seem to find any non drill and tap scope mounts for it so I went this route. Immediately put a 2X7 long eye relief pistol scope on it. So I now have 2 8" barrel shrouds, one scoped, and one non scoped.

I've always been interested in the DW revolver packages. That just looks mean with the scope!!! Would love to hear a range report when you get a chance to take it out.

This is the OEM 8" DW barrel and shroud at 25 yards. That is about as far as my tired old eyes can focus on both the iron sights and the target....which is why I am trying the scope. Too bad I forgot the allen wrench that day to get the sights right on.

It is excessive on the wallet too! Those longer barrels cost quite abit, you can buy a real nice 1911 for the price tag.

Where can I get a decent 1911 for 400 bucks shipped? Is a 1911 going to get me the velocity and accuracy of a 15 inch barrel? Inquiring minds want to know! By the way, my last 1911 purchase was a long slide custom made 10mm, which was over 3 times that price!

Lets just say longer sight radius makes my old eyes just a hair bit better on my accuracy.
