Got the windows tacked in. One casing window busted in the freeze last night just laying against the house. Crazy.

New construction? Insurance may jump in.

No, im just putting windows in the holes that were a screened in porch with a knee wall. The window that busted was $25. Argon filled and double glass. Strange that it shattered.

St. Peter interrupted him. "I see what you mean. I'll have to give you credit for that one, too."
"And the last question," said Forest, "What is God's first name? It's Andy."
"Andy?" said St. Peter, in shock. "How did you come up with 'Andy'?"
"I learned it in church. We used to sing about it." Forest broke into song, "Andy walks with me, Andy talks with me, Andy tells me I am His own."

Raining even harder now and of course the deep cycle battery needed charging yesterday and is ready to be hooked back up. My gate is located under the oak trees so not enough sun for the solar panel to keep it charged. Every 2-3 months it needs to be charged on the back porch. Since I don’t want to stand in the rain to either hook it up or get wet locking it by hand we’re not going anywhere until the rain stops

Free health care too!! This is my stance on feeding birds and deer. Socialist programs don't work! They just eat and make more. At least I can eat the deer.

Going to get a couple more small solar panels from Harbor Freight to help keep it charged. I will say we’ve been spoiled by our Ghost Control system. It is so nice not to have to get out to open and shut the gate plus only my friends have the code for the keypad so no strangers driving up unannounced. 2 remotes for the vehicles and I keep a remote at the front door for people who have a legitimate reason to come in the gate but they have to call to be let in.

Another thought: parabolic mirrors will start a fire. Nice thinking outside of the box, though...

Maybe just extend the wiring from the panels to the battery? One-time add; cuts down the hassle overtime.

Well, no gun stuff for me for 2 months. My wife is a chemical oceanographer. Shes been on more seas than i have working for noaa and um. She paused her career to raise our daughter who is 11 now. Its pretty much capt married a mermaid. Just dropped her off at the airport this morning. Shes gone for 2 months checking acidity from the cape verdes to almost antarctica. 3rd time in 30 years taking samples on that trip. So im in mr mom mode with a full time job and a farm. We got this!!
