So I know there's a lot of military and LEO's on here...I made a holster for an LEO and the kydex has the US flag with the thin blue line on it. In order to get the holster to fit correctly, part of the upper left portion of the flag has been cut away. My question is...is this in any way disrespectful or frowned upon? If so, I can re-make the holster and have the flag sit a little lower on the front.

I'd redo it and move it down. DoD regs do call for the flag to be "in reverse" when worn on right shoulder patches, but this is obviously not a shoulder patch, so if there's no "reverse side flag" print Kydex, I wouldn't sweat that part at all, assuming this is to be worn on the right side.

    And for reference, http://www.usflag.org/uscode36.html#176

If it's part of a uniform, or patriotic organization(how is that defined?),
Is the thin blue line a logo, letter etc?

For me: if it's questionable, we know the answer. Why not just a black kydex with the thin blue line across? Or perhaps the pile piece of Velcro glued/bonded on?

Oh, snow bird. Why pull the punch.

Underwear. I've yet to visit a wal mart that didn't have American flag boxer shorts.

Well, she's Canadian, so that'll just complicate things. At this point I was going to post an American wearing a maple leaf bikini, so went to the googles. This was one of the first results.

    I don't think that's a maple leaf...

Depends on who you ask... If you go by US Code then bathing suits, napkins, shirts with flags etc would be considered disrespectful. I am sure we all have some kind of shirt that has a flag. I think the holster would look better if the flag was moved down it just seems out of place because there is so much room below it. I just seems like it should go below where all of it is cut off.... I like the holster looks good.

Really want to make a hot seller... Make some with a confederate flag and a thin blue line going through it.... I bet you will sell some down here like Krispy Kreme when they flip on the "HOT" sign.
