    Oh come on! Lol.
Thanks though. I'm not a fan of wood, but I was really pleased with the grips. Very rich red on both and a fun blonde streak on the back of the left one. I'll still put different grips on there for shooting. I'm thinking black cherry vzs

It's unfired and it is TIGHT. By my rough estimation, it takes about 30 pounds of linear force to break the lockup and rack the slide. Dave thought it was broken because he couldn't rack it. Lol.

I got the cash together to go trp shopping and ended up with a Les Baer, imagine that.

Mine is much more "discrete" (not baller like that) I'll post a pic when I get home...

The grips look very nice, mine had similar when I got it, but one of them was cracked, so they are in the spare parts box now. I put some starburst grips on it, but need to fix that, it looks like an Wilson Combat imposter.

    Either way, beautiful pistol!

The Les a 1911 9 or did you get another .45?

Another 45. There is NO WAY a 9mm would cycle this thing. Lol.

Their catalog leads me to believe that they only make pistols in 45, 400 Corbon and 38 super. Though they do have a 9mm barrel for sale, but that probably meant as a replacement to a 9mm pistol from another maker.

Dante great looking pistol there! Hows the slide serrations and front strap checkering? Dark reds/black grips look great on all black pistol. Need a range report! Grats on the new pistol!

Thanks Gene. The serrations and checkering are absolutely perfect, and we're all done be hand, of course. The serrations are very very useful since it takes nearly divine intervention to pull the slide back. It's a really neat way of building pistols, in that they wear in instead of wearing out, but work well from the very first shot. It's interesting that while the slide to frame fit is superb, it's actually the barrel to bushing fit that is actually so hard to overcome. Should make for some good accuracy if I do my part. Most of all, I like the feel of these things, it feels like one solid chunk of metal machined from tool steel bar stock. Like my other Baer, it feels completely different from Berryville guns, it's kind of refreshing, and of course, it's just a little over half the price, which is unbelievable considering the skill and craftsmanship that goes into them.

I discovered some slant cut g10s in black and royal blue that might look good. I think this one is gonna have several sets of grips.
