Hey family. It’s been awhile since I’ve been on. Hell, it’s been awhile since I’ve done anything firearm related other than carrying.

Trying to “finish” some builds I started years ago and I’m looking for recommendations for muzzle brake/compensators. Years ago I was considering the Lantac Dragon. Is this still considered to be on the nicer options or are there better for the money now?

Also interested on thought of some of the combo devices...like the Lantac BMD or the FERFRANS CQB(I think that’s what it’s called)

    Any thoughts are appreciated

What do you want this device to accomplish ?? Mitigate recoil ?? Suppress flash ?? Both ??
Although most wont admitt it,they simply want a device that looks cood, rad, right on,etc.
    How about you ??
What action and chambering might help also. Budget ?? It would help if you pre-answered the questions that some here could ask. ---- SAWMAN

I love the surefire socom muzzle break on my carbine. Anybody to my left or right on the firing line doesn't however , so a Warden blast deflector rides in my range bag. My AR pistol has a PWS CQB comp, and it does an excellent job of mitigating recoil, and directs the blast/concussion away from me.

Your right. I told you it’s been awhile. I forgot proper etiquette. Haha

Will most likely be a 10.5 in 556. Mostly interested in recoil mitigation, but if I can find a device that does both well I would consider it. And of course a device that looks bad ass wouldn’t hurt.

I’m a big fan of the hybrid flash suppressor/compensators like the SureFire Warcomp or the Sons of Liberty Gun Works NOX.

Thanks. I’ll check these out. Do you have any pics of them on your rigs you mind sharing?

I love my strike industries jcomp gen 2. great at keeping you rifle/ pistol flat. Recoil? What recoil? Lol they also do a great job at flash mitigation. They are also compatible with Oppressor from strike industries and FerFrans concussion reduction devices. Best of all they Don’t break the bank and are regularly found online from 35-40 bucks.
This was at night and this is what the comp normally produces as far as flash goes. Sometime you might get a larger blast, but not often. I forgot to mention this is on a 10.5 inch barrel too. I will say that at the range neighbors definitely know your there, but I haven’t had one move or ask me to stop shooting.
