Lt Gen Hal Moore Died Today

Hal Moore one of the most influential military leaders of our time died today. Most folks know Hal Moore by his book; We Were Soldiers Once and Young or the movie made from the book but there are two more books by Hal Moore about his return to Vietnam and his spiritual road of life. Hal Moore was a hero to men like Schwarzkopf, McCrystal, etc and was their mentor, their instructor at West Point. Moore literally rewrote the training manuals. RIP Hal Moore, you join a great group of men, your men, that went before you.

I believe that was Saturday. I saw a short blip about it during dinner that night.

Had a local guy that was there with Moore was a M-60 gunner. he said that < if I wasn't for him he would not be here, he would say Moore was god to him. He just passed a couple of month's back. Just y 5 cents jj
