Looking for this compensator

I bought this from a forum member said it needed a thread protector, well a 1/2-28 dose not work. I believe it was threaded for a compensator. Included pics of what I believe it should be and pics of threads. Maybe someone will be able to help or recognize the firearm, any help is appreciated, thanks.

Without doing the research, 1/2x36 is the other common standard thread pattern for 9mm

Is it 9mm or something else? 40 caliber is usually 9/16 X 24 threads per inch.

That’s a pattern I found from just looking around, I bought a thread protector from down range 1/2 -28 and it just buts up to the end of the barrel, almost the same size, it has a round indent on bottom off barrel like for a set screw, at the end of the barrel it also has like a black rubber stain on it like from an o ring. I found the listed picture on the forum which I believe is the gun I have just purchased from different member.

No it’s a 9mm Taurus Pt99 AFS with a different barrel, I called them and they said someone else may have hade it threaded differently all there’s is 1/2 28

Sig uses 13mm. Just slightly bigger. Not saying it is, just another option of what it might be.

Make this real simple.. just use a thread gauge Like I do. And than make one. Just my 5 cents jj

I can use a thread gauge, but can’t make one.

Next do you have a gauge. if so see what it is and see what the die. is. There is a good possibly I have a tap for it. If not bring it to see me. You can't fix something with Pict. if you don't know what it is. jj 850-572-6611
