So I figured I'd start a thread with progress and questions here.

    Property:
    14.5 Acres
    Pond, about half an acre
    Cliff for gun range backstop
Creek runs through after storms. Dries when no rain.

I looking into either a 40x60 pole barn single story or a 30x40 2 story Arch Cabin from Texas.

Did ya get mineral rights?? Very nice. Get some game cameras up! Plan on getting a tractor! Well or county water?
Next Monday we shall see, surveys done, appraisal this week and closing the 26th.
I do have a cam to put up and my buddy works at Kingline so I'll do him a favor and grab a New Holland. Well water soon, but I may do a county up by the field for the cows and horses to be coming soon.

I love it! I have a blind up by the pond. Lots of deer tracks! Can't wait for this season!

All closed and now are "owners" of the land. Now to get a perk test. I found out that in Escambia county the Health Department has to do it...which sucks. Im waiting on the perk test and will be working on land clearing in the meantime. Ill have some more pics up soon.
What kind of machines you have in mind? When I did this plot where I'm at I got a trackhoe. We had lots of tall pines that had to go. I found I could power thru and scoop out one side of the tree stump with a couple scoops. Then drive to the other side and reach up high and drive and push the giant tree right over. This worked very nice as it pops the entire root ball out with it. Works crazy fast. And no stumps to gring later.

Nice. I have about 1/2 an acre to clear with about 25-30 pines...if i build where i want to. My wife is really wanting to get out of the heat in our RV (85 all day long with two AC units) so If she wins well be building up on the top fielded 2 acres just because it would be quicker.
Trees are anywhere from 10 inches diameter to a couple big 30 incers about 60 ft tall.
