Besides just the name, the GAP is a shortened cartridge, so there is slightly higher pressure behind the round...from what I've read, anyhow. Its not a super common round, but it is increasing in availability.

I was at Academy the other day and they had over 20 boxes of 45GAP for around $30.00 That's not bad considering it was around $40 a box and they would only have a few boxes. I think all ammo is starting to come back around again. I am seeing a lot of ammo ranging from 22s to 45s at wal-mart, Academy, and a lot of other places and the prices are finally starting to drop. I shouldn't of said that and I will knock of wood.

Beautiful gun, Packing a heck of a punch, Good luck with the sale. At that price it shouldn't last long. If I had the money I would buy it today.
