Searched and didn't see anything but I'm thinking of picking up a guide rod for my Gen 3 Glock 19. It has the factory barrel and internals, except for a Vickers Tactical extended mag and slide release. Not sure if I want to go stainless steel or tungsten. Anyone have any experience with these? For some reason having plastic internals of any sort just doesn't sit well with me. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

What's the difference? I understand not wanting plastic, but is it just piece of mind?

I'm not sure, but I wouldn't think that little bit of weight would make a huge difference in muzzle flip. If I were to get one, I'd go SS just to have a stronger guide without being as heavy as tungsten

I run a 19 time to time. An I had to see the difference myself. The stainless wasn't a lot of weight difference, BUT there was enough change in muzzle rise that I changed several times showing a couple friends at the range an during a Glock shoot. It now has the stainless in it for carry, an I have a couple factory plastic spring and rods in the package for spares, But out went the factory 5 lb trigger an in went the 3.5,, I Love my Glock for riding.. olecarvers 2 cents.. It all depends on the owners choice.
