Love Win 94s, especially Pre-64s. I’ve got a few. I guess it stems from watching cowboy movies and TV shows growing up.
I’ve wanted a John Wayne Winchester since they came out in 1981.
When I was raising a family I really couldn’t spare the cash. (I believe they were $600 new)
Now that I can afford it, at my age it doesn’t really make sense to have another safe queen.
I still watch for a deal I can’t refuse but it hasn’t surfaced yet.

Over the years, I've been picking up most of the levers that I always wanted and about the only ones left that kinda interest me are a Henry in .22mag and a Henry in .327 to shoot .32H&Rmag.

I have always been partial to the Winchester 94’s as well and have several of them in different modern calibers. .22 S/L/LR, .22 WMR, 38/357, .44, .45 and .410. I always loved the 1873 Winchester but never wanted to take on a caliber that I didn’t already have or reload for. Now I understand that the 1873 comes in 38/357, so that would be one I will be in the lookout for.

Henry or Marlin .44 mag. Something to bridge the gap between the .44 mag revolvers and the .45-70s, with the long term plan being I might one day "retire" fully into the .44 mag realm. Maybe...

I have a couple already that I really like, mostly Winchester 94s, 9422s, and a 1873 in 357/38 (Miroku made Winchester). I have a Rossi R92 in 357Mag/38SPL that is a peach for the price.

I certainly would like a Winchester 1886 in 45-70; almost bought one last year but sanity of the caliber and my shooting habits took over.

The Henry X in 44 Mag was my choice over the Marlin 1894 because of function and reviews. It's smooth as butter and the ability to tube load as well as side load is nice.

Something I've read a few times with the 45-70 lever guns, the Marlin rifles especially the recent ones, are the only action that Hornaday says to use with their hot stuff from the factory. The other manufacturers the action isn't strong enough.

    I have a 94AE Big Loop Trapper (16") I don't need in .44RM

    I regularly shoot my 1894 in .44RM
I rarely shoot my 336 Texan in .30-30 (only made for 2 years..18")
I shoot the daylights outta running hogs with my 1895S 20" .45-70 in front of the dogs...not so much any more.

not real sure if I have a dream one....The Golden Boy Silver Eagle Second Edition or the Golden Boy Silver in 22LR might be nice. If I hadn't had such a poor experience with feeding of the Classic Carbine I had I might go.
