    From a local forum

"We have been notified from the Walton County Sherriff’s Department and Walton County School District that there is an escape convict in South Walton County. All schools will be open however if you choose to keep your children home it will be an excused absence. All schools will be on lockdown until we hear from the sheriff’s department. All security measures will be taken and no one other than school personnel will be permitted in the school. Additional information will be sent as soon as we have received it."

When I went to school there was not even a such thing as school lockdown . Funny thing is we all survived somehow. Imagine that.

That's about 5 minutes away from me and my kids school. I'll go ahead and err on the side of caution.

Any bounty money offered for his head?

When I was in school we didn't have lockdowns either but we did hide under our desks for "protection" from nuclear war. They don't build desks like that anymore!

Sounds like he moved your way. Carillon Beach from what I've heard. I remember having to do the duck and cover drills in school. Laughable!
