Here's the upper I have assembled so far. It's eventually going to be a SBR in 300BO. It sits on a surplus ammo upper and has a 10.5" Sota Arms 1/8 twist barrel pistol length gas tube with low pro gas block. Has a 12" free float rail(don't know maker got it from a friend for free). I'm waiting for the BCG and charging handle from BCM to come in along with kak industries slimline flash can. It should show about 1/4 to 1/2" out of the end of the handguards. Magpul FDE BUIS.

Doc, I saw and held one of those handguards on a 556 today at Patriot Arms, pretty interesting I thought.

Ksenter...nice 6.8, lots of real stopping power..did you know Federal just released their 115 FMJ rds under the American Eagle brand?

Nice job! Did you ever order the tool to remove the 3-prong FH? If not, you may want to call Phil at Jay's to see if he can loosen it up for you or maybe another forum member has the tool. Again, job well done. The lower looks great.

I have a tool for 3 prong, but can't remember if it works both 308 and 5.56. I'll look when I go out to the shop in a bit.

Thanks! I'll get the FH replaced, and find a proper sling. I'll also soften the wear on the flats of the lower, but need to get a good polishing compound. Can't find my flitz.
