Best beginning AR?

OP, like many others have stated here go with PSA for your first build. Just buy an assembled complete upper and lower reciever. Then you can take it apart if you want to learn how things are put together. Also it won't break the bank. Then you can also afford a nicer optic, wether it be a red dot or low power scope.

What range are you planning in shooting out to? Less than 300 a red dot will be perfect for you. Primary Arms has great red dots for their prices.
