Was talking parts the other day and BCGs came up. Here's a couple that I have...
1. Aimsurplus.com NiB- milspec construction is good and consistent, finish is the same
2. WMD NiB- milspec construction is good and consistent, finish is great (a little dirty from previous range trip)
Overall the two BCG work, with each having a few hundred rounds a piece without issue and gas keys are still good. NiB finish on both is good with the WMB being a little different tint which I like.
The biggest difference between these two is the milling finish process. The edges and polished surfaces are better overall on the WMB. Hopefully the pictures show the circles and sharp edges on the Aim bcg. This has not affected the function or wear on the rifle but it is noticable.
Price point-
WMD w/ hammer from Primaryarms is $180 while the Aimsurplus is usually around $100.
Is it worth the extra $80 bucks?.. For a budget build range gun I'd still get the Aimsurplus. For anything else that is going to see significant use or be required to run 100%...WMD or something comparable in the NiB finish.
Hope this helps any prospective buyers getting into the AR genre. JW
