      Component search

I'll be traveling soon between Mobile, AL and Natchez, Miss via Hattiesburg. Anyone know if local shops along the way to hunt for pistol components? Would love to find some bullseye powder and small pistol primers that I don't have to pay hazmat on, but I'll stop and "look" at anyplace good. Thx

      ISO .22lr reliable simi auto

Yes, the bobcat can be picky. Feed it CCI copper tip & its happy as a lark. Did take me a bit to figure that out, lol. But that's good to know about the M&P 22, it's probably more widely available.

      ISO .22lr reliable simi auto

I forgot to mention earlier, I have a s&w 22A - good plinker but gotta keep it close squeaky clean or it jams. Prefers copper tipped ammo, but will eat lead if freshly cleaned.

      ISO .22lr reliable simi auto

If u find she can't work the slide on any traditional 22 semi auto - try a Beretta bobcat pop up barrel.

      Starter suggestions

Good suggestions already mentioned above for equipment. Couple other things to consider - most folks who reload will admit they don't really save any money - especially with price of components so if that's what you are looking for, it may not be worth it. But it does help ya shoot more. I do it...

      45 acp question

If I were you, I'd check scrap prices before final decision. Last I checked they were pretty high. Wise recycling by interstate/hwy 29 in Pensacola takes 'em.

What’s waiting for you in your reloading room in 2024?

I need to build back stock up my 9mm and 40 so that's ahead first for me. Also want to develop a better practice round for my Taurus 38 revolver. As for the new guy - I read a second hand Lyman manual cover to cover before I ever walked into Dads reloading room years ago (which is now mine)...

New To Me Pistol S&W 4516-1

I have a 9mm 3913LS - absolutely love it. It eats anything and I can handle it very well one handed. Not too big to carry either.

      STRIKEMAN LASER FIREARM TRAINING

I found an "easy trainer for Glock" that you add on the end of the slide and it resets the trigger for you without a rack. Also comes from barrel blok company, but their website is not the easiest to search. Best way to find it is google Easy Trainer for Glock.

      STRIKEMAN LASER FIREARM TRAINING

Nope, but I do like my Barrel blok (includes a nifty magazine block too) and dry fire training cards.

      Walthers

Friend of mine has a CCP, I liked it well enough it's on the buy list for me, tho I'm definitely getting version 2. That being said, I intend to rent/shoot a PDP before final decision. CCP is bit smaller & easier to conceal, but has less capacity. Overall I'd say Walther def have a small but...
