Shot the GSSF match in Dawsonville over the weekend. My debut showing of the GCGF shooting jersey. Very well run match. Mr and a buddy managed to shoot 11 divisions and be on the road home by noon.

Nice! How do you think you did? I'll be shooting the GA State USPSA match at that range next month.

As much as I love the 1050, having this little Lee classic turret press and the RCBS Charge Master 1500 make working up a new load extremely easy.

Yesterday, I got in a few things for one of my current AR builds. Last night, I mocked everything up and it looks great. Everything fits very well. This morning, I fully installed everything. The optic and sights should be here tomorrow afternoon. I have a SLR handstop coming in as well. It will probably be here Thursday or Friday.

    Here it is so far.

Right now, without a magazine, it weighs 5 lbs 9.9 ozs.

Shipped my SIG MPX upper receiver to SIG. I found I could not remove the front bbl screw/nut in order to remove the bbl for gas system cleaning. Both the nut and the screw just spin around and cannot be removed. The rear bbl screw/nut easily unscrewed, and in fact were actually loose. So far, SIG has been nice about it and issued a RMA number and shipping label right away.

Prelims dropped today. I picked the wrong match to forget how to shoot....
I haven't moved into Master status so i'm still ranked with the amateurs.

2nd place finish in Major Sub. My other 5 divisions were a wash.
    COME ON RANDOMS!

That was my first time visiting that facility. It's very nice.

Help pick the comp / brake. 3 gun rifle comming along. Have some trim out pieces comming from Oden works, hyperfire 24c on the way. Rise armament cb 188 barrel. A2 adjustable/regulated, bolt carrier and titanium gas block. Jp silent spring. So ....precision armaments m4-72 ?? Is this not a "brake". I THINK I want a brake /comp combo???? Any suggestions are most appreciated. (Objective is to "see" the first round impact, for the follow up)

Look at the Ares Armor Effin-A MK II comp. It's completely tunable to keep the rifle flat for your stance/grip/etc.

Finally got my Blackhawk case, and it works brilliantly. It even fits a double mag pouch. The case is very well built and very very clever. Highly recommended.

^^But we can't really see the case with the rifle sitting on top of it..
    Good point. Post updated.

Well, my only complaint is that the hardware is polymer. It shouldn't matter, since unlike the zipper on my favorite skinny jeans, the zipper on the case won't be used several times throughout the day. That Wilson case, however, does have metal hardware. Either way, that's 78 rounds of 556 in a discrete and easy to carry package that falls under the same rights and privileges as a conventional CCW.

I tested 10 different loads in my open gun yesterday and found a load that will get me running until I can do more testing. I haven't ordered a 1050 conversion for 38SC yet (because I want to make sure I enjoy shooting this gun), so I'll spend the next few evenings loading up some ammo on the turret press.

This gun is still violent, but not nearly as harsh as the 9 major gun I had several months ago. One major difference, though, is all the gas you get in your face with this gun. It has popple holes, where my other one didn't. It took me at least 20 rounds to train myself not to blink during recoil.

Spent some time with the Kydex jedi yesterday after swapping out my main ccw. I went with the M&P 9c, only shot a mag thru it yesterday but the felt recoil and handling seems good. I need more range time and some HP rounds run thru it to make a good assessment but I like the grip and size of this pistol.

Be interested in what you think about the M&P 9c. Been thinking about that switching to that gun. I carry the shield now which I love but always looking.

I'm switching over to a 9C with safety. I'll do some accuracy and carry load testing tomorrow morning. Twice the rounds as a 1911 compact, same weight, same width, with the same length slide and a shorter grip.
Also MUCH, MUCH smaller than G19. I'm a fan. I'll still keep my shield for pocket carry though.
