picked up a Ruger 22/45 Lite today from TGD in anodized blue. Cant wait to go play!!!

I bought a black one July 4th. Fun little shooter.
Taking it apart and putting it back together was a biatch. Read the instructions closely. That damn magazine disconnect is a PITA on takedown and reassembly.

I feel the same way every time I buy a Glock.

Maybe, just maybe I'll feel differently about the next one.

I guess I should put my comment in better context. I posted a WTB ad for a Glock 26, 19, or M&P9c. Someone responded to it, saying they had a 17, 21SF, 30s, Berretta 9mm, XDm .40, etc. I almost told them to buzz off because none of those were what I was looking for, but I decided to see if I could get a good deal on the 17 and 21SF. After it was all said and done, it turns out that the 17 was an RTF2 and I'm pretty pleased with the deal I got. I definitely don't need it and it's not what I'm looking for, so that's why I'm not sure why I bought it.

Well, that goes for me too. I'm not a Glock hater and they do spark my interest. I'm impressed buy their functionality, their reliability and the options/accessories offered in the market place. It's just that they never felt comfortable to me. However, there are fixes to that "problem" and I may employ them on my, soon to be, next G.

I never cared for Glocks until I got one on a trade and shot it really well. Once I got used to the feeling of it, I have no complaints. They work well for what they are and they can serve a variety of purposes.

For the most part why Glocks "just don't feel right" is because of the width of the double stack grip frame, and the wide slide, some call it "blocky". Most people feel that they have to bring it up more to align the sights.

Dig up the figures on the grip angle of a typical(Colt) 1911 and the Glock 17,compare the two,see what you get. Pretty close, right ?? To me a 1911 just feels better in my hand. It does not have to be a BBQ gun either. But .. (BUT !!) .. I shoot a full or mid size Glock better than I do a 1911 ...... sooooooooo.

Please remember ........ "Colts,Sigs, and Kimbers, are what you show your friends ..... Glocks are what you show your enemies". --- SAWMAN

I think you mean "the 13 year old trapped in a man's body."
