I have a saiga 12ga with a railed forearm on it, the rail more/less covers the irons. What kinda of sight would you run on a "tacti-cool" shotgun? Dont intend to run many slugs through it, if any. Red dot would be kind of out of place on a shotty, or at least I would think so. Never tried to shoot skeet/trap with a dot, haha. Have you?

The intended purpose of this gun isssssss.......oh hell, I dunno. Home defense/gun range/maybe trap/dunno

What kind of sights would you think?

I would go with a red dot or if your rail can hold it put a flip up sight.

I don't think I've ever used a sight shooting skeet or trap. Just reaction and it works for me.

NONE....On a Home Defense Tactical shotgun, why would you need a sight? 18-3/4" barrel, you're gonna hit what you point it at in close range. I would never "train" myself to stop, shoulder, aim thru a sight, then shoot, on a tactical 12ga. Time is critical during a home invasion, taking time to shoulder and aim, could cost your life. But for the "tacti-cool" look, I'd have to go with a laser dot, at least you won't lose time by having to bring the weapon to full shoulder to sight in on the bad guy before you can shoot.
