To the best of my knowledge, no, it can't be swapped to accept AR style mags.

If your concern is problems feeding or loading the mag I have had neither problem with my gun in the last several years. I have three mags for my gun and they all work perfect and are easy to load.
The mags hold an "honest" 5 rds and you can load the OAL as long as needed.
They are fairly cheap and readily available.

Boyds makes a kit to swap it to AI style mags.

The bolt Is cut different on the one that takes AR magazines. There is a good amount of machining on the bottom of the bolt that isn’t required on the standard magazine model.

Remembering also . . . AI mags are completely different than AR mags. --- SAWMAN
