Got an old beat up H&R Topper in 410, when I bought it the stock had been shortened several inches. I want to fix it up and look original again. Occasionally I see one for sale on eBay but what folks want for one on there is more than the gun is worth, if anybody can point me in the right direction to find one I’d appreciate it. Wonder if a 20 gauge stock would fit ?

That’s good to know. I’ll be on the look out for a 20 ga stock as well, thanks

It will go on. However, if you use larger gauge furniture check that your 410 barrel block doesn't rattle when opened in a receiver designed for a heavier gauge. Mine did. I've heard of shimming the pivot pin. I don't know if that's a permanent solution. Also the fore end is routed out to accept a larger diameter barrel. You may have to change the screw that holds the fore end in place. Did you try Numrich?

Did you try the furniture from the 25-06 you have? Not to change out but to check fitment. The barrel profile on the 25-06 is more in line with the .410 barrel than a 20 gauge.

I’ve got a wood youth stock that came off my son’s New England 243 handi rifle that maybe should try on it, when my son out grew the 243 youth stock I swapped it out with a full length. Don’t want to spend much on this 410, gave $40 or 50 dollars for it year or two ago.

Checked with Numrich, they had a good used one, dang shipping charge added to it though, went ahead and ordered it, I’m a tight wad sometimes. Oh well, still got less than $100 in the gun.
