Looking for 22 rifle for grandkids and a hunting rifle in 7-08, 308. 270 or 30-06. Prefer Browning, Tikka, Sako etc but will consider others.

Must be able to meet within 30 miles of Mobile

I have a GSG 1911 22 caliber. And it's my fave little plinker. But I say plinker as I refer to its caliber only. Other than that it's a full grown 1911. Feels and weighs the exact same. Even has metal mags. Mags are kinda pricey tho. But.. all it's training you get while playing transfers right into the real version later if you decide to get a 45 etc. So it would be a good good to teach with also. And the price isn't shabby on them either. They're the same guns SIG sold a while back. Just with a different name on them is all. I like it better than my buddies SR22. Anyways mine runs great and you may do well to check one out if shopping for that style of 22
