Getting to old to walk in 1/2 mile carrying gun, stand, pack, etc. Thinking I would like to try an E-bike. Want something at least 48v. What you got?

Struck a deal with Grits1/5. Nice bike at a nice price. Great guy!

Go see the men at "Truly Spokin" in Milton, one block north of intersection of 87N and 90. He does long-wheelbase cargo carrying E-bikes and upgrades them with 12 volt deep cycle batteries for solar power

If you haven't looked at pricing, you are going to be shocked. Big bucks for a bicycle, in my opinion. Used to be able to buy used cars cheaper.

Yep, I was sort of "hoping" that someone would have one that they didn't use. Hell, I remember when a New car didn't cost as much as some of these. :)

I'll check with a friend. He puts together used bikes on the side. May not be pretty but price is usually good.

You can get a new one for $1,500. Good quality.
If you go used, try to find out how old the battery is.
New batteries are around 5-6 hundred.
If you're old like me you may need something with shocks and a wide seat.
I went with Rad and the quality is great.

Jerry, How important is battery size in your opinion? If I have 48v battery, is that likely to do everything I want? I don't anticipate traveling long distances, nothing more than a mile or two per day. I was more concerned about fat tires and big ass seat :)

I have a 48v battery on my bike and It propels me at 20+ MPH. I can get up to almost 30MPH with pedal assist.Thats kinda fast on a bike.
I have ridden 29 miles on one charge without peddle assist and still had 3 bars of power left and I'm 215lbs. Its plenty of power for me. Its quiet too.
I'm going to use it to ride the trails at the camp and get to the stand quietly.
Check out Rad Electric Bikes and pick a model you like.]
The tires help cushion the ride and are almost bullet proof on a decent trail.
