Cold crisp air. No phones, no BS, just me and nature. Watching animals, even better if they never wind me. Heck, I even watched a spider make it’s entire web one time in Alabama. Feels like all of my senses are heightened, the sound of a leaf hitting the earth floor. Squirrels get your heart pumping, then you see it’s only a squirrel. I had an owl fly under my climber, never realized how big of a wingspan they have. Killing a deer is just the cherry on top. Most of my best times were hunting in the woods in Union springs Alabama, especially with my children. Now I hunt Eglin. Hopefully I’ll get to take my grandchildren in the next few years.
