    Another update from ERGC...y'all boys don't renew so there's more room for the rest of us. ;) :D

    "While the range has been closed, the range managers have been busy. Range #2 has been torn down and replaced with a new metal structure. The benches have been replaced and power should be reconnected this week. We have more berm work scheduled and the excavators will be on site this week to make this happen. They will be increasing the height of the side berm on range #4, maintenance work on ranges #6 & 7, plus making preparation for extending range #2. Speaking of the range extension, the surveys are complete and as soon as the county opens up we will be applying for permitting. Awesome job Charlie!!! This will be one of our top priorities for the remainder of 2020. Over the next month the board will be finalizing the plan for this expansion. This one project will turn ERGR into one of the premier ranges in the south. Great days ahead of us."

    AND - - -> nobody anticipates a fee increase ??
    You have a good,well run place to shoot - -> you pay. That is the way it works.
    Either that or you divide the costs/expenses into the number of members. You start getting so many members that there is either a waiting line or time constraints,the price "could" stay low.
    Some ranges maintain a "happy medium". Your choice. --- SAWMAN

    They have paid range staff that was initially required by Escambia County and the remaining is needed for maintenance of the range, insurance, and improvements.
    That have an impact area with much of it consisting of wetlands that are probably not build-able. The range is in relatively quick driving distance for large parts of Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. So they have a good future.
    There has been talk for years of getting that range in a developed state to host national action shooting competition. ERGC is a snow free range, but can get chilly on some winter days. But, it still has a longer season than do ranges of the middle west and northern atlantic coast.
    A bit into the future there could be a possibility of purchasing more land in back of the range after it is mined for dirt.
    Aerial of the range and what is behind it.
