Shot a brand new 300BLK upper. First dozen or so rounds shot fine, then it blew up. Looks like the whole barrel including gas block and tube moved forward in the upper receiver from 1/4 to 1/2 inch thereby leaving the back of the round unsupported and blowing it out when it fired. In the one photo you can see where the barrel and gas tube is moved way forward in the extension. I don't want to disassemble it due to I'm sending it back under warranty but wondering what could have caused this, maybe a defective barrel nut?

Factory 147gr. Wasn't the ammo, I actually got a bulls-eye with that round :) . The barrel appears to have physically moved forward in the upper receiver, looks like about a quarter to a half inch. Not sure about how it could even do that unless the barrel nut split or something. Been shooting AR's for forty-five years now and never saw this before.

Yes, I agree, you can see the exposed threads on the extension. There should be no threads showing, the barrel should be snugged up flush with the extension.
