Estwing was always my favorite framing hammer when I was working construction, and now I've got serious muscle memory with an identical size, weight and grip. To think I almost sold this ACU thing multiple times, wow. Its going opposite one of my SAA's when I go trail walking next time. I cant hardly wait to go off nineteenth century style on something!
I might have to get the Leather-4-U ladies in Milton to make me a black custom sheath to hold my Raider bowie and Estwing hawk opposite my SAA holster on my Kirkpatrick rig. How sweeeeet would that be

started my ghost build AR, 4lbs
Look forward to seeing it. With random parts best I could do was 4.68. Which ironically is the same weight as the kel tec pu16 from the factory...

Ya'll got me thinking/wondering about some of my "truck stuff" so I dug out a couple of the urban survival tools that I ALWAYS carry in my truck that can be accessed from the drivers seat.
My SOG tommie- hawk and my Glock knife are just a couple. ---- SAWMAN
ADDED: My "goal" is to be like James one day.

Spent an hour looking for new grips for my blackhawk. I get that it's grip is designed for your pinky to hang of and the grip to rock back in your hand when shooting, that it's a pistol designed for one handed shooting, but I will always prefer a full grip and will continue to shoot two handed more often than not.
I'm leaning towards the hogue grip, but damn I don't know that I want to put rubber grips on it. It's a stainless gun so it's not as bad as putting rubber on a blued gun, but still ugly.
Shootability is key, but I would at least like it to not look like a complete eyesore.
Those of you with more experience than I have with SAA style pistols, got any recommendations?
The gun is accurate and fun to shoot, but the grip is just a little lacking and could be better.

Went to the gun show Sat in PCB, Laketown Wharf. Adult entry $10 AC and carpet makes it nice. $650 Glocks, $200 Wanglers, 20 Pistol rounds in a baggy $40 (might be Superman or werewolf killers, didn't look close). No Tac-14s or mossy shockwaves. As norm, batting zero seeing a Stribog. Still enjoyed the window shopping. Only think I bought was the entry ticked. Lol

Saw a "tagged as" Colt SP1 with Colt or Coltish type scope but had A2 rear sight in fixed carry handle? Over $2K. Seems odd as my later version SPII with fixed carry handle has the A1 rear sight.

I did see an interesting older woman. She was 70ish, grey, glasses, slightly slumped and chutching her shoulder purse tight to her body, you've seen the type. She was carefully looking over $1500+ 1911s with her free hand and only released the handbag to get a high web grip, thumbed for the slide lock and mag release! No question she had trigger time on 1911s at some point and was sticking to what she knows. An amazing wolf in sheeps clothing!
