Sold a 30-06 to a friend who brought over his new (old) .44mag and 100 rds. We shot till wrist hurt, got out two new .45acp's we hadn't shot, then told war stories till his bride called and all fun went to Hell. In other words; pretty damn good day

Shooting steel cased ammo its wise to keep a spare bolt in your kit
Everybody will be shooting steel cased soon enough when the price for brass cased sky rockets. All the cheap ammo from government overruns will be gone as soon as the new army ammo gets fully implemented. Word has it its labeled armor piercing because it's a nickel tin alloy and that it wont be released to the public

M855A1 is a lead-free green environmentally friendly bullet :p -Like that's what you're looking for in a round designed for antipersonnel use!

It's not been officially labeled AP and even if it were, it would still be legal for civilians to own; it would just be more difficult to acquire. As with all military ball rounds, it'll eventually become somewhat common just due to to the quantity produced. That said, it's not ideal range/practice ammo in any case and it'll chew up your feed ramps pretty good unless using GEN3 PMAGS.

There's nothing "depleted" about it. There's a radiation plume stretching up and out of the middle east from all the projectiles turning into dust on impact. Look that up
