Decided to go to the Panama City Beach Gun Show this morning, looking to trade my Kimber Desert Warrior for an FNX Tactical .45. Not one in the show to be found, which I count as fate!

I ended up trading for a new SW 629-6 Performance Center .44 Magnum. Looking forward to a great time shooting!

A bonus, scored 3 boxes of Hornady LeverEvolution ammo at Bass Pro.

Shot it today at the Oak Ridge Range in Gulf Breeze and WOWSER!! More accurate than I am, and with Hornady LeverEvolution, what a fireball!! Magtech ammo had much less muzzle blast, but definitely more recoil.

I ordered a Hogue grip from Midway USA for range use from now on..just a bit of "bite" from the stock grips.

And nope!!! Definitely not trading this one!

Update...new grips. Factory grips were really nice, but I had to make life a little more pleasant...

I've got a 69 and had wood grips on it. Really liked they way they looked, but they positioned my hand too low. Ended up putting on a Pachmyer grip I had in my gun box and it cured the low grip, plus it has a bit more padding. Enjoy.
