Yeap we are tied with 2005 now for the number of named storms. IF another one forms 2020 will set a new record for the most named storms.

2020 can't end soon enough for me........

The cooler waters of the northern gulf should keep the wind speed down and with luck may kill it. We could be so lucky.

It seems to be moving more to the west, but for now we need to wait for it to get into gulf before I think they will know.

They have a few from the storm back on the moorings along the bridge, and quite a bit of the new contractor barges working. We have a quarters barge at the port for the divers, and a new crane barge that hasnt started working yet. Its gonna be pandemonium as usual. They put a bunch of stuff on anchor at butcherpen cove in the lee since Sally

That does not sound very secure for a storm

Its very secure tight to the bluffs. When they use it
I will have to accept what you say since I know very little of how to secure a barge. i assume it depends on what it is tied off too. If a storm came I would want to fill the barges with water so as to ballast them to the bottom plus also plus tying them off. Next time if they break loose hopefully the navy will sink them.

Yes, at butcherpen they are in the lee, on 50,000 lb anchors. If they would have used this option during sally like storm warnings before, everything would have been fine
