Well my 2nd cam sent a pix. Crap signal. It's set up on a road where I've seen coyote and cat prints. Turkeys are a welcome sight. Need to sling some dog food. Hard to make out but my pop up blind is further down the road on the right.

    Turkey vultures.
They sheet and regurgitate on anything and everything.
Protected bird. Wish they were not. Waaaaaay too many around.
We kill a 180lb hog, take just the backstraps, move him to a area where the land owner wants them to go. 8-10 of these birds get on the carcuss. Gone in three days.
    Coyotes barely have a chance.
Leave in the open so they can come in from above and they will take care of the unwanted meat.
BTW - -> these vultures have a extremely keen sence of smell. Some say, > 2 miles. But those are the older guys so you probably should not believe them. --- SAWMAN
I heard an old place on Munson highway used to buy these vultures off of the rednecks and serve them up in a restaurant. People got sick. Somebody called the law. Law said "dont buy any more big birds already cleaned without any feet on them" so they can tell what they're buying. Then the population exploded because guys quit killing them for profit. I floated around a bend in the river one day, way downstream of Juniper creek where nobody ever goes, and came face to face with like 20 of them staring me down. Had me nervous. Real Edgar Allen Poe shit

i really do not understand why they are so damned actively protected by (IIRC) fed law. I believe the same law that protects ravens and mandates a crow season in every state.
Escambia River and the numerious river swamps has tons of them. I do nor advocate open season on them, they have there place in nature.
However if you have ever has one regurgitate on your head/back while duck hunting . . . well . . . I killed that mo-fo. (Take me to jail) --- SAWMAN

Trough feeders are amazing. Especially this time of year, keep them full of protein pellets or sweet feed that got good protein.

Using a base of corn and rice dust? with peanuts ground in on top. Bride's restaurant has really taken off mine not so much. This is what I'm using with extra corn mixed in.
