Will be hunting for the next week. Rut is in. Deer are all acting squirrely. Typical hunting trip for me. Vortex on my 450 bm worked loose again, the tube this time, not the mount. Seen several deer, one spike, one 4 pt. Babies mommas and does jumping around. Luckly I brought the 6.8 upper so two pins and back hunting. More later.

Put up a ladder stand in a good spot. Saw a 6pt bout the time I brought the pistol up he took off like a rocket. Crap. A few days left. Hunting for the next 3 days. 6.8 shooting the 115gr fusion. 10.5 barrel.

Almost forgot, it appears I need to set the feeder for more feedings..... damm deer have been hoofing it to get the corn out. Blue lock tight on the single screw on the vortex 3x. Ready for tomm

Wife caught one today. He was licking the impeller making the corn/soybeans come out.

Saw several today but nothing bigger than a 4 pt. Per club rules, 6 and over. Still can take 2 does just waiting for a big one. Plots I've been hunting are less than 80 yards, got the 450 bushmaster dialed in, just waiting for a chance. 10 days left.

Very impressed at how well the 3x spitfire works in low light. Turn the reticle on the lowest setting and they won't get away.

Forgot to give props to Frank for the blue feeder. Works better than the new tripod one, lol. I got it from his hunting sale awhile back. Thanks for the great deal!!

I think those work great, the motor is easy to replace and the barrel easy to patch and no water intrusion. How do you have it set up?

No, that was me poking at some of the other fellas. There was a post awhile back "poo-pooing" the use of these mags for hunting. Alabama dosent care about rifles / "high" cap mags used for hunting.

Well had an wide beautiful 8 pt walk out.... moved slow, lined up the shot then flicked off the safety like I was going to mow down the red Chinese.... klack = zoom. Gone... ^$$&=%&&$ fing ^$$^&*&'x!! Got it to the 2 yard line and fumbled it. My BP must be 180. So pissed at myself. Stupid newbie buck fever. Dammit.
