Saw one for sale in town. Anyone have experience with these Uzi Pro pistols? I've heard they are pretty nice beyond the trigger. Can anyone comment on that?

A fullsize uzi with the fun switch makes sense. A mini oe micro that fires from a closed bolt w/o the fun switch not so much.

Wonder Nines started to eat into UZI, MAC and Tech market share. When 30+ Glock mags hit the streets it was hurt them worse as one could spit and spray as well az the other only cheaper. All that was lost was some Miami Vice tacticoolness as far as average joe usage. Today there's a much wider variety pistols formatted for 25 to 32 cartridges and some with "drum" mags too!

Since the PRO has a poly frame not metal, bolt handle moved and the Narwhal looking bottom rail is just but ugly. However, I think the Poly grip frame is what kills it, same would happen with a poly frame Python or Peacemaker; there was/is a 1911A1 with a poly frame but I don't know how sale were. There's just some guns that "poly" flat screws up becaue we want the good stuff, not lighter or cheaper to manufacture. Not much nostalgia to be found on this one. The Pro has also been discontinued and probably won't be missed by many.

Very fair points! Did some more research and found that factory mags START in the $40's for the lower capacity ones, and triggers are generally pretty heavy and miserable. Having only really owned Bloc rifles I domt mind a weighty trigger, but I've read break weights from 18 to 25 lbs. So heavy miserable trigger and lack of spare magazines have killed my interest. Which is too bad, I really like little stubby brace-able 9s and especially ones that are modeled after sub machine guns.

Might have to look into one of the Masterpiece Macs that can accept glock mags....

For the same pistol caliber and mag capacity issues, I've put off buying a braced type pistol. They do in fact provide additional real estate fo a seconf hand to grip directly on the firearm. 9mm Braced Stribogs are below $800 now (not the new delayed roller version) and 30 round mags are $25.
