Been a mission for me to find an absolute bullet that could fill the role as a reliable SD LOAD. Got my hands on an MP hollow point mold and really like the included pentagon insert. Been shooting for accuracy to find that nail driver. Last trip I got it dialed in to hold 1 to 2" groups out of my custom 1911 at 25 yards. Today was water test. I gathered up a dozen 1 gallon jugs and went to work. I shot and captured 2 of these 45 in the third jugs where they both stopped on the back side puncturing the back of the third jug. Exactly what I'm looking for. I'm only running about 800fps with a 212 to 215g projectile, so these should be very quiet suppressed. Very easy load to shoot to say the least. I'd sand tested these and the mushrooms were very impressive but I didn't get pedals as I'd hoped. Today in water I can say I'm extremely pleased!

No clue the actual BH of this load. I just use range lead mixed at 18lb +/- range pick up lead to 2lbs Lyman #2. I'm old fashioned and just hit a simple cast bullet with a hammer to test haedness.... Lol.

Looking to buy the MP 9mm mold next. If it's anything as good as I'm seeing here it should be a winner as well. The pentagon hollow point is genius.

Oh my!!! That is way up over the cool factor. Look at the PC. It’s still on even after the expansion. Curious, do you shake or spray your pc?

I'll tell you what.... I've done tons of pc on bullets. In the end I found it easiest to shake and bake. At one point I'd stand all the bullets on end. Took a lot of time. Now I have a process that takes minutes for several hundred at a time. Red plastic folgers can. Shake..... Then I cave a plastic kitchen strainer that's fits another folgers can top perfectly. I shake them a bit to remove excess powder as well as I can. Then sprinkle on 2 pans that go in my pc oven at 410 to 420 or so for 15 to 20 minutes. I pull out and let them air cool. Then toss in a plastic jug with a few inches of water. I shake and swirl to remove any pc flash. Roll then around in a towel they lay on another towel for a bit to finish air dry. A few stick together so I just pop them apart. I pretty much only use Ford blue pc by Eastwood. It's just what has always worked well. All I really care about is bullet performance VS appearance. Here's some 9mm I did yesterday.

Oh those look nice. I’ve pc’d with harbor freight. Sometimes it works….sometimes it doesn’t. I’ll try your method next time.

I've made them them very Purdy in the past. But ime shooting far more volume now. When I do batches of bullets now I do them by the thousands so doing them this was has no effect on accuracy or performance. Just much quicker for me. They don't look bad at all really but once in a while you'll see a smudge here or there in your pc.
