Like most of y'all, my shooting has dropped significantly due to ammo cost/availability. I'm hoping this will be the solution to this problem. This should be a fun plinker/squirrel killer, and hopefully as accurate as advertised. I just mounted the optic, and it'll be a week or so before I can sight it in. I'll report back after I run a few types of ammo through it and see what groups best.

Very nice rifle and setup. I have a similar one. Only bad thing with mine is they milled it all out vs how ruger casted many parts. So it has sharp edges around the chamber and on mag etc that likes to dig into cheaper ammo when running it thru it. Which I shouldn't. But I'll admit I tried a few times lol. Not sure if yours will be the same. I may take a file and soften some edges in a few places on mine. Mainly on the mags feed lips. It's a bugger to load vs regular Ruger mags. But it's hard to belive how light these guns are tho. I still have cheap gear on mine due to buying so many new guns lately. Need to fall back and get proper gear for mine. It's cheap scope n bipod weigh more than the whole gun does lol. Very fun guns tho. Mine came with a huge MOA offset on the pic rail. Like 30 MOA or something like that I'll have to look it up to be exact. But made to shoot very far without running out of scope adjustment. Pretty neat guns. It costed a good bit more but yeah figured it was worth it to have one that was so lightweight.

I've got a ton of CCI, mini mags, standard, velocitor...
    Federal match
    Federal HP
    Blazer
    Gemtec

Depending on how it shoots I may try some match grade .22, but we will see. I hope it shoots well with mini mags as I have a pile of it.

Try Aguilla super extra. I found it to work very well in my cz 457 prec., bergara b14 trainer, and anschutz. Federal auto match was my go to for cheap accurate bulk ammo. Aguilla is a good bit faster and definitely has better groups at 100yds. Does not compare to match grade ammo though but 1/3 to 1/4 of the cost of it too. If you want to get the most out of that bulk ammo try weighing the rounds and separating the extreme weight differences.
The federal auto match is the best bulk I have found for 300+ yds. Weighing rounds definitely helps to narrow groups to 5-6".
2 of my tack drivers... both good for sub 3/4" groups at 100yds with bulk ammo.
One more thing, I've heard subsonic is great for 300+yds because it does not have the transition to subsonic. I haven't found it to be true. Maybe if it were a day with no wind it could hold true.

Work has been crazy lately. Haven't had a chance to fool with this rifle like I want to. I did put a few rounds through it last weekend.

Try some of the quiet 22. My red dot is wayyyy off shooting it. Like way left, might have gotten bumped fooling around.

John B sense you same to have a storage problem with all of that 22 ammo I'm offering to help out and with your testing , I have plenty of space and place to shoot. But I want come get it you will have to bring it to me. or pay for the gas for me to come get it. This offer is only good for 48 hrs so don't let it get away. Just my 5 cents jj
