"No entity in Texas can compel receipt of a COVID-19 vaccine by any individual, including an employee or a consumer, who objects to such vaccination for any reason of personal conscience, based on a religious belief, or for medical reasons, including prior recovery from COVID-19. I hereby suspend all relevant statutes to the extent necessary to enforce this prohibition."
"No entity". That means private, or public. State AND federal.
Hopefully their state legislature codifies it accurately and strongly into law, soon.
Hopefully it goes all the way to SCOTUS.
Let them make their final word so we can move forward, one way or another.

States have long had the constitutional authority to mandate vaccinations, which the Supreme Court has upheld twice, first in 1905 and then in 1922. The federal government, however, has limited power to mandate vaccines. It can only require them to prevent transmission of a dangerous infectious disease across state lines or international borders. The federal government has never sought to require nationwide vaccinations, and the courts probably would not allow it. To date, all state government mandates have been for fully approved vaccines. Thus, it is likely cities and states would wait to mandate COVID-19 vaccines until they are fully licensed. But when governments act as employers, they would be in a similar legal position as businesses. Thus, federal and state worker COVID-19 vaccine mandates are fully lawful even under an EUA.
OSHA and DoL are working on codifying it right now. Federal workers are mandated under the EO from the POTUS. Received the religious exemption request today. Was under the impression certain medical conditions would be enough but very few MDs will risk their license to try and assist. Moreover, for Federal workers the medical exemptions have been limited to documented anaphylactic shock from a previous vaccination or an accepted immuno-compromising medical condition such as cancer or AIDS. Even these must be redocumented on a continuous basis and if you recover you must submit to the jab. Other immuno-compromising conditions such as chronic low white cell count or rheumatoid arthritis do not qualify.
And yet fully approved vaccinations for much, much more lethal diseases are not mandated neither for employment nor school attendance. In the instances where they are mandated, several states, like FL, allow for a simple religious exemption form to be picked up from the health department and filed in the employee or student folder.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for vaxxing. This is not a Vax, it's a band aid. A Vax is polio,measles. Chicken pox. Stops the disease cold. This is a bs made up flu shot not an innoclation that stops anything. My sil got the shot, then caught it and died. Thanks for nothing big pharma bastards. Hope they all burn.
