You did see the picture of the bear sitting under the feeder. The second picture is to give reference of size of the bear

One day the state of Florida (and the entire southeast) will come to their senses and outlaw feeding. I doubt we will ever see another bear season in our lifetime unfortunately.

That is a deer feeder and that big boy is welcome to eat all the corn he wants in perfect safety

    What's wrong with feeding??
It's a very easy way to pass on CWD which will eventually make it's way here...

Moreover, it's a lazy way to hunt and completely changes a deer's natural pattern. Feeding is a great way to kill does and immature bucks, and occasionally get lucky and kill a nice one.

We have enough property here that the bears are welcome as long as they stay in their place and these two dogs are here to remind them where their place is. We have all the common animals here on the farm and we have never experienced loss of life or property damage because of the bears and we have never saw one other than on the game cams.

I'm afraid this deer feeder is a welfare feeder they get to eat all they want with no demands made on... and as far as a feeder changing a deer's social or feeding patterns it has little effect you can change the timing of their patterns but not the social patterns themselves. I'm sure some will disagree but I've lived on this property for nearly 50 years and whether the feeder is there or not the social and feeding patterns are generally the same. By the way I've heard it's bad to put up bird feeders in your backyard too

The little bear is just waiting for breakfast!!
I catch a small black bear on my front camera walking across my driveway in Gulf Breeze about once a week.
