Testing Short(er) Barrel 308

Picked up a POF P308 piston gas rifle with a P&W 14.5” barrel. I’m really curious to test it out and see where it really hits in terms of shorter range or more general stuff.

Right now I’ve got a 2.5-10 GLx on it - anyone have much experience with just slightly sub-16” 308’s? What kind of optic should I look at long term for this setup?

I built a 12.5. Huge flame and huge report. Accuracy was good though. Just too damm heavy.
