The issue being i can't find any mags for it. .40cal - fantastic shooter, accurate, forward side charger,, full ambi, very low recoil and it's just plain f'ing cool. The only available mags were 10 shots. I only have one. Would love to have 4 20 or 30rd mags. Same mags as the smt40 subgun but all those are in Brazil. Found a guy online that made some David Herne but after a year of,, im got some in the works,, ive just about given up.. I may drop it at JJ's and let him tinker with it, he's sharp and could solve this problem.

Found few things showing ct40 was dropped by taurus and they're "out of magazines"

    809 full size or compact?

Full size, its a good shooter. Shame they canned it. Closest one in the current line up is the C3 and its crap compared to this one. I have 5 mags for it luckly. 17rd.

Get all the 10-rd mags you can find. No Joke.

Then convert then to 18-rd mags with 10 minutes of work...

I would but none for sale.!!!
I'd sell it. I once mail ordered $500 worth of used 10 rounder mags for a rifle, and only got ten mags for that much money. Out of those 10 mags, only half of them fit and functioned in the gun upon receipt. I was beyond livid, and promptly sold it. Never looked back

It was a tack driving Romanian PSL. My best group was a dime size group at 75 yards, with irons. But no good as a service rifle without enough mags. How far have you stretched that one you have? Years ago I had a Gen1 40 caliber Sub2000 that I could ring steel with at over 100 at ERGC, but the kentucky hold over for elevation was such that I could just barely see the top edge of the steel. Here's another thought... those aftermarket Hipoint mags, where they joined one mag to the bottom of another mag for higher capacity, maybe they could be made to work? If not the mag bodies, then maybe whatever they used to couple the two together?

Can't find the mags, its a hobby now. Every gunshow, dig thru the strange mag pile. I did score another pt809 mag this way for only $25. The psl will hit clays @200 with gi ammo. I at least was smart and bought a pile of mags when they were cheap. Have one of the rare 5rd ones too.

I can't remember if it's Gunandgame or RimFireCentral that has some Brazilian members..
but then you are betting on them to actually acquire and send the mags...
then you have to wonder if they'll make it thru customs...
probably best to do one or two at a time until reliability is established;)

Yep, it appears that the famas saf or saf200 mags would work but none to be found. On the brightside I saw a ct40 carbine for sale with bids on gunjoker for $745...... still sucks love the carbine.
