wife and i did a quick getaway up to the mountains east of talladega. no,it wasnt any cooler. but i stumbled onto the CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park. 500 acres of ranges. 30 bucks buys you all day shooting and they have a 600 yard range. i only had time for a quick tour but i definitely plan on going up sometime for a day of shooting.

It’s a great place. I used to run up there and shoot sometimes when I lived in Birmingham years ago.
