Still no ammo though, although I grabbed a few boxes of magnum slugs! Looking forward to flinging one ounce lead blobs at 15° in the snow!

I’m in the Ft Lauderdale area for a few weeks.
Many gun shops here with pallets of most everything ammunition related.
Haven’t priced cause I don’t need anything.
One pallet I remember for sure was nothing but those little Augila shotgun shell things.

Guns galore of all types.

Was in Tennessee with JJ back in mid December and guns/ammo could be had at what seemed to me to be way more reasonable than found on our forum here.
At the Smokey Mountain Knife store, I bought a brand new .410 oncehold chootgun for my grand daughter for $99 plus tax/gun call-in. Not too bad I sez.

So far, haven’t been in a gun store down here yet that stocks or handles reloading stuff so can’t report on that.

Talked to a fellow from Ohio who wanted to know why ammo was priced so high in NW Florida
He said 9mm fmj was selling for $12/box in Ohio. I think he was BS’ing me because he didn’t take my offer to drive him up there to buy a few cases

Just here for a few weeks visit.

Went to Tail of the Dragon with the local Corvette group, took my Z06 up there to play, that is a nice area to cruise around in, were up in the Smokey Mountains for a bit.

Did the same thing, we rode harleys there, caught the spring rod run, hit all the distilleries, from pidgeon forge back to sevierville and all the way to gatlinburg.
Finally after 4 days of on/off light rain, we finally got a dry day and did the Dragon Tail too.
Awesome.

I've heard a lot of talk about the Tail of the Dragon. Where is it? How do yu get there? How far from here is it?

Map it from where you are going, look up Deals Gap Motorcycle Lodge, it's on US Highway 129, the Tail starts on the TN border and goes about 11 miles.

Across the street is this shop with the Iron Dragon next to the road. Definitely a fun time with a vehicle designed for some corners.
