    So i got in on the SBR 458 socom order. have a stainless 18" barrel and a bolt coming. now to decide how to build it. here are a couple ideas i have thought of doing

    i like it but its hydro dipped, i still have no idea how well it holds up. i always get mixed reviews on it. i might just get zombie green cerakote and airbrush the whole thing

    Yeah, I'm not to sure about hydro dipping. I know how easily it can wear off bows. Regardless, I would do something very different.

    Also, do you mind if I moved this thread to the AR-15 section?

    yeah i am not to good w the Z green, will it be a hunting gun, day time? LOL, I like your caliber choice!

    It will be an all purpose gun. "Hey ive never shot a 458 socom" "we'll here, try this one"

    "Hey that looks really cool, what is it?" "It's a 458 socom" "oh, what's that?"

    Like the top one. Confused though with your post...for me SBR means short barrel rifle but you ordered a 18" barrel. Does SBR mean something else?

    SBR is a barrel and ammo maker out of georgia. Finally got my barrel and now it's time to piece it all together
