I didn't want to highjack the other thread so what do you guys think of Stag Arms AR's? I have one I'm about to have converted to piston and I love the rifle. It shoots great and feels good with the furniture on it from the line.

They aren't a horrible AR; they're one of the three I usually recommend as an entry level gun. I wouldn't bother scabbing a piston on it. If you want a piston gun buy an LMT or LWRC upper and be done with it.

Considering my 6.8 stag is as accurate as the ARP or Bison, I like that, much better than entry level, very under rated...beside for the price point you cannot do better.

I do have to ask why go piston?

The only thing I think a piston is good for is less cleaning. But if you aren't shooting 100-300 rounds each time at the range it's honestly overrated. I used my m4 down range and kept it clean(for the most part), and I never had any issues with it.

Just my .02 worth on the matter. Take it with a grain of salt!
