It's my understanding the gun comes new from Springfield with only one 15 rd magazine. I also understand that the original 13 rd magazines will work. But who wants 13 when 15 is available? And available is the operative word. I wouldn't be surprised to learn the magazines are made by Meg Gar. They make just about the best pistol magazine around IMO and are in high demand by everyone. So if by some miracle you were blessed by the gun gods and are able to buy the SA 35 be thankful and hope at sometime in you life you might be able to find 15 round magazines for it. Until such time that happens you might need to content yourself with lower capacity mags.

Something to look into if you are interested as these may be hard to obtain or go up in price.

Did anyone here ever get one? I've seen them go for as much as $1200 on Gunbroker, but now the price seems to be around $900 or so all in. I ordered one from Jimmy's for $699+ tax last November and just received it today. It looks like good quality and is comfortable in the hand. The trigger is certainly far better than my 1982 model, but the parkerized finish pales in comparison to the polished blue of my original. Overall quite nice and I can't wait to try it out.

Can't even buy a beat up IDF one for that low. Good job!

Yes and there are reports of some function issues (FTE), hopefully they will be worked out. Like to have one myself possibly some day.
