I did a search on this forum and didn't see any post about the range I joined. I moved to the area in late November and joined the Silver Creek range in Chunchula. It has a 1000 yard range(pictured), golf course for .22, tactical range, pistol range, 200 yard range, and a host of private ranges. There are tons of metal targets on the various ranges. It is a members only range and has a website. So far its been excellent and not crowded at all. Hope to see some of you there.

Thanks for info! Never heard of that one. A haul for me, but good price for a 1,000 yard range. Is long range steel only or can you put up paper targets?

    Nice for you Ala guys.
    What's a Golf course for .22's ?
Set up looks kind of familiar.

You can put up paper anywhere you wish on the ranges.

The golf course is for 22 only. If hole 1 is a par 4 it has 4 metal targets, hole 3 is a par 5 it has 5 targets etc.. The number of shots to take them down is your score. there are 18 holes if I remember correctly. Just bought a 22 to take advantage of it.

So the only way to shoot a birdie is to actually shoot a bird?

Or maybe if the targets are close together and you use 22-shot-shells, you can score under par that way.

I’ve never seen an 18-“hole” steel target “golf” course. Sounds fun! :)

The owner ( I have been told) owns Stone Arms on Airport Blvd. if you have questions he is the man for the answers. Check out his Facebook page, most of the time his prices are very competitive.

I met one of the guys that runs matches at this range last weekend at the RPGI SOF match. They are having a DMR match their this weekend. The guy was a serious shooter. I definitely will find my way over for one of their matches.
