    So Florida law allows for the liberal transport of a rifle inside your vehicle. Cased, not cased, visible, not visible… Easy-cheesy. No distinction between loaded and unloaded.

    If the rifle is an SBR, does anything change? Or is it the same rules as transporting a regular long gun?

    Is the immediate use part not negated by a CWP?

    FSS 790.06 defines a firearm [for the purpose of a CWP] as a handgun, electronic weapon or device, tear gas gun, knife, or billie, but the term does not include a machine gun. Long guns are not covered under a CWP.

    Mute issue anyway, long guns in ANY configuration in ANY PLACE in a motor vehicle are GTG.
