It does not have the magazine disconnect, nor the LCI.

The magazine disconnect makes the trigger inoperable when the magazine is out of the weapon.
It appears that the gun Will Fire with the magazine out. I cocked the gun, dropped the magazine, and pulled the trigger. The gun went "click."
So, I would say that it does not have the magazine disconnect. My factory Ruger MK III does have the magazine disconnect. This is a MK III also, but with the Tactical Solutions upper.

Is it picky with the ammo it likes? Wll it reliably shoot the cheap stuff???
It is not picky with ammo and it does reliably shoot the cheap stuff. When I got the gun in the trade and took it to the range (PRPC) I was very impressed with how reliable this gun is and with how well it shoots. I have not had any problems at all with it.
