    RPGi Steel Challenge Club 406

With much gratitude to many of our shooters, sponsors, match directors, RPGi staff members, range, mentors, and the Steel Challenge Shooting Association, RPGi presents the Steel Challenge Weekend Match hosted monthly at Southern Tactical Range in Holt, Florida. Starting in November of 2020, RPGi will host a Steel Challenge Weekend match every month at the end of the month, beginning on the 4th Saturday (Saturday and Sunday Squads). RPGi will run five official SCSA stages and upload the results automatically after every single match. This is a match you can count on!

"Why Steel Challenge?" most people have asked me over the last few months. I generally answer with the same response; it is a game of pure fundamentals and provides shooters from all ages and skill levels an opportunity to improve their skills. The purpose of running this type of competition parallels RPGi's motto of "Train. Evolve. Compete." We embody this simple mantra in our training and matches. We can ultimately get more guns in the game, reach more shooters (growing the local shooting community), and limit reset times between shooters/stages, allowing us to maximize our shooters' time while at the range. The best shooters in the world shoot Steel Challenge and could line out more reasons to shoot Steel Challenge than we could count. Just ask KC Eusebio, a personal friend of mine and World Champion Shooter, who had suggested over and over again to start hosting the Steel Challenge match.

Shooting Steel Challenge is a great training platform for IDPA, USPSA, IPSC, Multi-gun, and other dynamic shooting competitions. Shooters get the opportunity to practice their reaction time from the start signal (Shot timer), 25 times minimum per a standard 5 stage local match. Regular shooting matches only allow for shooters to experience the sound of a timer 5-6 times (5-6 stages for local comps) each match for every other type of shooting competition. Steel Challenge matches are filled with target transitions, which add up to 125 times minimum per local 5 stage matches. Shooters learn to combine and synchronize sights, trigger presses, and lateral target transitions. Steel Challenge also works movement on the Outer Limits Stage, teaching shooters the importance of efficient movement into and out of a shooting box.

So the next time you log into practiscore.com and want to find an exciting competition to shoot, come and check us out and shoot with us!

Shot the match on Saturday and had a great time. The new match bugs were small and handled quickly. Every stage has cover so the rain shouldn't be too big a problem today, but wearing boots might be a good idea. Have fun

Great Turn out yesterday (~ 55 shooters) and the weather was good. However, today weather was cold and rain. I had a blast and thank you for coming out Dewayne.

Yeah we had a great time both days and ended up with 62 shooters after finishing up. My favorite part was seeing the shooters have a great time. This was our first of many and we will continue improving as we grow. Lots of folks complimented to organization and timeliness. New shooters got hooked after the first match and we were happy to create new SCSA/USPSA members. We will also offer USPSA in the near future so stay tuned!! Take a look at pictures attached.

Man walks up states his USPSA number...Match Director (me) says “Hey Mister you’re missing a digit on your membership number...” man says... “That’s how long I’ve been in this game young man!”

Hey you scared me when you asked if was going speed load my revo, I thought Steel Challenge had added more targets per string Or I had died and entered an alternate universe. It was fun and I didn’t have to reload during a single string.
