I want to get a Roni type option for home defense. We tried one for my wife and it really helped her (she is too small to fire a glock on her own, or an AR in a home situation) and she loved it. So I was wondering:

    1. What is a good Roni type build? Should I go with CAA? Anything else? I do want something to allow for a suppressor.
    2. What is the best value red dot? I hear some good stuff about the Vortex Venom. I see many cheaper options from TruGlo ($70), Bushnell ($100) and Crimson Trace ($130). This is more for a home defense situation (10-20yds) with a Glock 22. So long distance is not really a huge factor.
    Thanks for all the help!

Look at the recover tactical ones too. Base model is $99. They have an accessory rail to mount an optic. Adding longer barrel or can is no issue. Red dot, trs25 or strikefire 2. Prob better to go with shake awake one for hd.
